After President Trump met with the United Nations for three days in New York City, he held a news conference to address just days before his Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, faced a hearing about an allegation of sexual assault. During the conference, Trump said claimed the media agreed that the accusations were false. His encapsulation of the media's opinion was misleading. No member of the media had said anything of the sort because it was impossible to know if the accusations were false, based on the available facts.
