President Trump wrote an op-ed for USA Today, regarding a program promoted by Sen. Bernie Sanders to expand Medicare to all Americans, which was known as Medicare-for-All. Trump claimed the Democrats plan would "eviscerate" Medicare, yet under his administration, the date for the Medicare Part A trust fund depletion continued to advance. If depleted, the government wouldn't be able to cover 100% of expenses. His tax cut caused the budget deficit to soar, which would cause the government to be less prepared to deal with the large influx of baby-boom retirees.
