Donald Trump cried that the sentencing hearing for Paul Manafort, his disgraced former campaign manager turned convicted felon, proved that his campaign didn't collude with Russia. How Trump came to that conclusion is anyone's guess, but Manafort's sentencing hearing certainly didn't prove Trump's campaign didn't collude with Russia. Trump then went on to accuse Democrats of making the entire episode up because they lost the election, which doesn't make sense considering Republicans controlled every branch of government when the Special Counsel's investigation began.

Quote | Not surprisingly, his claim is as factual as his countless lies about the investigation.

“I can only tell you one thing, again, that was proven today. No collusion. There’s no collusion,” Trump said. “There’s no collusion and there hasn’t been collusion and it was all a big hoax. And you know it. It was done and stated by the Democrats, because they lost an election that they should have won, because the electoral college it’s a big advantage for Democrats, not for Republicans. And they should have, and I ran the clock out.”
