Type: Demands LoyaltyAug 23 2018 Severity: Targeted: Jeff Sessions
Donald Trump complained that the only reason he asked Jeff Sessions to be Attorney General is because he "felt loyalty" from Sessions, not because of his qualifications. Trump also told Fox & Friends Ainsley Earhardt that he questioned "what kind of man" Sessions is if he wasn't willing to be loyal to him.
Quote | The President continues to rail against Sessions for recusing himself in the Russia probe.
"He [Attorney General Sessions] took the job and then he said, 'I'm going to recuse myself,'" Trump said. "I said, 'What kind of man is this?' And by the way, he was on the campaign. The only reason I gave him the job, I felt loyalty. He was an original supporter."
