Donald Trump insisted that he is wholly above the law, claiming in a tweet that his Twitter posts "will serve as notification to the United States Congress" that he will wage war against Iran without their approval, as is required by the Constitution, if they retaliate against U.S. assets after the assassination of their top military commander. Donald also claimed he is not bound by the War Powers Act requiring him to notify Congress of military action he has ordered, (falsely) claiming that "such legal notice is not required.
