It took Donald Trump 18 days to fire National Security Adviser Michael Flynn after his acting Attorney General Sally Yates told the administration about Flynn's ties to Russia. When Trump was asked about why it took so after he had the necessary information from his Attorney General, he told an NBC reporter: "I believe that it would be very unfair to hear from somebody who we don’t even know and immediately run out and fire a general.”
