Donald Trump Drastically Inflated How Many People Attended His Election Night Rally
Type: ExaggerationsApr 28 2018 Severity:
Donald Trump drastically overstated the number of people who attended his election night rally, falsely claiming that 32,000 people attended when the actual number was 4,200. This is one more in a long line of false crowd size claims Trump has made throughout his Presidency, most notably the time he insisted, despite photograph evidence to the contrary, that his inauguration crowd size was the biggest in US history.
Quote | There was 4,200 people in attendance, not 32,000 at Trump claimed.
"There were 32,000 people [at my election night rally]. I finished speaking at 1:00 in the morning on Election Day. Thirty-two thousand people."
