President Trump went to twitter to talk about his tariffs, which he said "have put the U.S in a very strong bargaining position." He also added that countries "will be Tariffed!" if they chose not to deal fairly with Washington. He went on to brag about the U.S Steel Industry by saying that it was the "talk of the world" and that it was "thriving" and "given new life." While he has helped steelmakers, it wasn't as big of a turnaround as he portrayed. The job count at that time for steelworkers was 381,700, according to the Labor Department. Still, that number falls short of 402,600 jobs at the end of 2014.
