Donald Trump laid bare his complete ignorance of our nations wireless network system in a rambling tweet calling for the creation of a nationwide 6G network "as soon as possible," even though a nationwide 5G network has not been released. The call for 6G came during a rambling two-part Tweet calling for US businesses to step up their drive for a faster wireless network and insinuated that he would welcome foreign technology companies to release their technology to the US if they get too far behind China, which would open up a whole host of sensitive issues.

Quote | The President called for a nationwide 6G wireless network before we even have national 5G.

"I want 5G, and even 6G, technology in the United States as soon as possible. It is far more powerful, faster, and smarter than the current standard. American companies must step up their efforts, or get left behind. There is no reason that we should be lagging behind on something that is so obviously the future. I want the United States to win through competition, not by blocking out currently more advanced technologies. We must always be the leader in everything we do, especially when it comes to the very exciting world of technology!"
