Donald Trump Said 'Fake News Media’ Didn’t Cover When Obama Said '57 States' in 2008

In 2008 Barack Obama, then a Senator at the time, made a campaign stop in Beaverton, Oregon. After being on the campaign trail for 15 months, he was obviously tired. He told the crowd "over the last 15 months we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in fifty …. seven states? I think one left to go."He told reporters at a later stop "I understand I said there were 57 states today. It’s a sign that my numeracy is getting a little, uh …” Trump used this as a way to bash Obama, and more than anything, the "Fake News Media" for refuting his claims that only 18 people died during Hurricane Maria in 2017.
