President Trump attempted to distance himself from legal problems plaguing his associates. Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, and lawyer Michael Cohen, both pleaded guilty to a number of charges. Cohen told the court that he had been directed to make the arrangements by an "unnamed federal candidate" in exchange for the silence of two women. One was a porn star and the other was a former Playboy model. Both claimed they had extramarital affairs with the "mystery individual". Trump went to twitter to bash Hillary Clinton and the Democrats, as well as deflect any connection to the charges filed against his two associates.
