Type: Phony OutrageMay 27 2018 Severity: Targeted: Barack Obama
& Hillary ClintonAbout: Russia
Donald Trump attempted to blame former President Obama for not doing enough to stop Russia from interfering in the 2016 Presidential election, but conveniently neglected to say that both Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused to sign on to a bipartisan statement condemning Russia's meddling. Both leaders refused to do so because they didn't want to harm Trump's chances of winning the election. President Obama was also deeply involved in trying to combat the Russian meddling, contrary to what Trump accused.
