Donald Trump refused to condemn Russian President Vladimir Putin over his overseeing the assassinations of numerous journalists and other critics of his government because Putin isn't ordering the assassinations to take place in the United States. When challenged to denounce Putin over the assassinations, Trump demurred and simply said "it's not in our country."
Quote | Putin has ordered the killing of numerous journalists and other critics of his government.
"Probably he is [ordering the assassination of journalists and critics], yeah. Probably. I mean, I don't-- ... But I rely on them, it's not in our country."
