About: Government Shutdown & Immigration
Donald Trump threatened to shut down the Federal Government if Congress didn't provide the funds to build his long promised, but yet to be delivered, border wall along the southern border with Mexico. The last time Donald made such a threat didn't work out very well for him considering the Republican dominated Congress refused to provide the funds and he still signed the funding legislation into law. Republican leaders in the House and Senate have already thrown cold water on Trump's border wall talk, explicitly saying the funds won't be included in this years budget negotiations.

Quote | Things didn't work out well for Donald the last time he made the same threat.

"As far as the border is concerned and personally, if we don't get border security after many, many years of talk, I would have no problem doing a [government] shutdown. It's time we had proper border security, we're the laughing stock of the world."
