Donald Trump Made a Swipe at Woodward for Possible Inaccurate Reporting on NATO
Type: Poor People SkillsAug 01 2018 Severity: Targeted: Bob Woodward
After missing an initial interview with Bob Woodward that he both denied and acknowledged being told about, Trump began to declare that a book written by Woodward about his presidency would be inaccurate and "bad" because he wasn't interviewed prior to the book being published. He bragged about his NATO dealings, and claimed that "no other president had done it" before him. He concluded that since he wasn't interviewed before the book the information wouldn't be reported "that way".
Quote | He assumed during a phone call that the writer would not portray the truth in his book.
"It was heading down in the opposite direction. So I don’t know if you’re going to report it that way; probably not. But that’s too bad, but that’s all right, but you know, one of those things," Trump said after bragging about his dealings with NATO.
