President Trump attended a rally to support Matt Rosendale, a candidate for the Montana Senate. Later in the speech, Trump bragged that almost 4 million Americans were off of food stamps since his presidency, but data showed 2.8 million fewer people collected food stamps since he had taken office. This trend began before his presidency. Also, reports suggested that some immigrant families had dropped out of food stamps, fearing his administration’s immigration policies.
